December Use it or Lose it Challenge

Good morning everyone and welcome to my monthly challenge “Use or Lose It!” November was a slower month, with the holiday. But I did get to use my 2nd chance items as well.

Here are the items I used up from November:

  • green brads
  • kitty and doggie ribbon
  • 7 Paper pet stamps
  • Jillibean Soup – Chit Chat Chowder
  • Simple Stories “Good Day Sunshine”
  • Basic Grey “Sultry” collection
  • Elle’s Studio “Thankful” cork embellies
  • The corner punch and with border

These are the items that I didn’t use so they will receive a “second chance”

  • Bling – different shades of purple
  • LYB pocket with strips
  • pre-made white bow

I only used one item from the October “second chance” pile – Basic Grey “Evergreen” chipboard alphas. So the following items are going into a bin!

  • Basic Grey fabric brads
  • Burgundy bling
  • Simple Stories Flair

Now let’s get this month started!

Remember Cloud 9 Design? LOVED them! And these yellow bubbles are rain dots! Pre-enamel dots era!
Basic Grey Christmas brads
Basic Grey Fact or Fiction banners.

Pebbles gold glittered chipboard words. These things fit an entire 12×12 page. Maybe home decor project?
Reminisce “Its a dogs life” collection. I have just a few papers and only 3 little lonely stickers

Heidi Swapp paper pack. Unopened. Clearance for $7! Would love to open it and create!
The white metal words on that fuschia part of the photo above? Making Memories. I bet the sticky doesn’t even work anymore. LOL

Bella Blvd “Just add color”. I’ve only used it 3 times and it has so much potential!!
CTMH collection pack. Havent’ opened it.

As always scrappy friends, wish me luck and I’ll try to come back periodically thru the month and show you what I use up!😉

Miss Muddy Paws – Sketch N Scrap #118

Good morning everyone! Today I’d like to share with you the newest sketch by Heather Hall, Sketch N Scrap #118:

Look at all the stamping and fun you can have with this sketch!

And here is what I did with it:

I loved the messy background and used a mixture of stamps and a stencil to make my background, then tilted my layers. Pictures are of Miss Penny Lane (she wasn’t even a yr old yet) coming back from playing in the mud. Just look at that face!

Journaling reads:
One day, Penny decided to go outside and play in the mud after it had rained. She had fun but the fun stopped after she came inside. May 2013

My list of products include:
cardstock: Bazzill
stencil: Studio Calico
ink: Clearsnap
stamps: 7 Paper
pattern papers: Carta Bella and Bo Bunny
stickers, alphas: Simple Stories

Make sure you stop by Sketch N Scrap to check out the rest of the DT’s layouts. Hope you can play along with us.

Adorable Furbabies – end of November 2016

Good morning everyone! This month has just flown by hasn’t it? I can’t believe it’ll be December tomorrow!

Who’s ready to get their dose of adorableness?

Its been unseasonably warm this November and Miss Penny is as happy as can be out in the sun.

Mr. Jackson still loves the camera and loves to hang out with me.

I think Jackson knows that Ruby is sick. Its like he can sense it…despite being only 4 months old. He’s always napping with her.

After all the silliness, the li’l guy is passed out!

I take so many pics of Jackson, Penny is looking at me like “I’m a pretty girl, aren’t I?”

And…we’re back on Jackson. LOL

My 3 babies were all tuckered out last weekend in my scrap room

Adorable Furbabies – November 2016

Good afternoon everyone! Sorry I’ve been MIA this month. Been busy with Ruby. Since her diagnosis of bone cancer and her broken leg, we take it day by day. Some are good, some are okay. Luckily we’ve only had one really really bad day. The main issue is food. She is not a fan of food. She eats about 25% to 50% of her normal amount. Not a whole lot, but its better than nothing.

Here she is a couple of weeks ago. Sill smiling!

Penny & Jackson are becoming really good friends. Just look at them!

Jackson loves his curvy scratching toy. He even sleeps near it AND on it! LOL

He sees himself on the computer monitor. I was editing a photo he had photo bombed. He is such a ham!

On November 8th, we celebrated Penny’s 4th Birthday. She got lots of toys and treats!

Sunshine & Daydreams

Hello everyone! Today I worked with the latest sketch by Let’s Get Sketchy

I was really drawn to the sketch but didn’t know what I was going do. Mixed media/stenciling or paper scraps. And this is what I came up with:

I chose this very happy photo of Penny and Bear from last spring. As I was going thru some papers, I found a super cute cascading hearts stencil and decided to use a Faber-Castell gelato in banana to get started. I sealed it with a glaze.

The various word art stickers are from Simple Stories (as well as the stencil and pattern papers). The sequins are MME and Darice; with the arrows by Studio Calico.

The pattern papers, stencil and stickers are from the Simple Stories “Good Day Sunshine”, which is also from my November Use It or Lose It Challenge.

Season’s Greetings using Sketch N Scrap Card #86

Good morning everyone! Today I have card sketch #86, designed by the very talented Lisa Hidy at Sketch N Scrap:

Look how much fun this sketch is! Lots of layers and that cute tag!

And here is my take on it:

I used Basic Grey “25th & Pine” collection, with enamel dots from various companies including Webster’s Pages, Freckled Fawn and October Afternoon.

Make sure you check out the rest of the awesome cards created by Sketch N Scrap’s Design Team.

Aren’t I Handsome? – Sketch N Scrap #117

Good morning everyone! Today’s Sketch N Scrap sketch was designed by the very talented Lisa Hidy:

And here is my take on it:

Well, isn’t he? I just love how Mr Jeffrey was posing for me!❤🙂

I used Jillibean Soup pattern papers, stickers and die cuts. The alphas are a mix from a few Bo Bunny sticker sheets – Alora, Elf Magic and Happy Tails.

Make sure you stop by Sketch N Scrap and check out the rest of the DT’s wonderful work with this awesome sketch.  Hope you can play along as well.

Good Dog – Sketches in Thyme Sketch #228

Good morning everyone! I’m up on the Sketches in Thyme blog, showcasing a wonderful sketch by Cherie Averill:

And here is my take on it:

I opted to swap out one of the photo placeholders for a PL card, minimizing the banner, shifting the 2 embellishment spots and removing the title. My journaling is at the bottom, using the spot up at the top for the super cute words/phrases/quote.

Most of it is Bella Blvd “Rover” collection, but the PL card is from Simple Stories and the ribbon is from TPC Studio. The ribbon is from my November Use It or Lose It post, along with the “foundation” for this layout. I was going to use a solid white cardstock, but when I was getting the ribbon, I saw that one of those “Sultry” papers from Basic Grey – I had SIX of them! SIX! What am I going to do with SIX pink pattern papers? And this is a super duper old collection where everything was NOT double-sided. So I just flipped it over to use as my “base”. It worked out!

Make sure you stop by the Sketches in Thyme blog and check out the other DT’s layouts and hope you can play along with us!
